The Shortest Season of All

Somehow we’ve reached the last week of October, which means we’ve only got a couple months left of the year 2025 and we are mere days away from Mariah Carey awakening from hibernation to drown out everyone else on the radio (although I think “Golden” may still have a fighting chance). The end of the month also signals several other things, which I will put into a numbered format for your visual comfort.

  1. Halloween is upon us! Perhaps my favorite holiday, there’s no shortage of enjoyment, between neighborhood decor, clever costumes, scary movies (the good kind and straight-up trash), and of course discount candy.
  2. With Halloween nearly here, I’m running out of time to finish my annual LEGO display. I got ambitious and wanted to build a whole neighborhood but I underestimated how complex even tiny houses could be. Needless to say, it’s only going to be a two-house neighborhood but I’ve also got a nice, creepy cemetery complete with ghouls, goblins, and other creatures of the night.
  3. The End of Con Season is fast approaching. I’ve got shows for the next three weekends in a row so it’s been a busy time in the studio. I’ve got a few new pieces and a couple more started in preparation for next year. For those interested, here’s the rest of my ‘25 schedule:

    Ty-We Collector’s Expo – Harrisonville, MO – Nov 1
Air Capital Comic Con – Wichita, KS – Nov 7-8
    Topekarama – Topeka, KS – Nov 15

I plan to use this space more going forward to share my thoughts, art, and LEGO creations. For now, I’ll leave you with this newly completed piece of one of my new favorite characters ever, the star of “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.”
